You don’t even need to lay out hypothetical scenarios about mail in voting - you just need them to explain how having your vote handled by dozens of people over the course of a few days and trusting the person who receives the vote to register it correctly is more sEcUrE than going to a polling station and getting a receipt for your vote that only you touched and registered yourself.
We don't get that here. Other than that, our in-person voting is pretty good. Although I have no idea how the electronic counting works, and poll workers certainly have no oversight of that.
