You are too honest and normal. The Dems would actually enjoy, I think, cheating their way around this, and getting away with breaking the rules . . . They do not let rules and laws get in their way. But no worries, you're the better person for being the way you are.
I just had an idea that might partially solve this for both sides.
Make a new rule that the second the clock hits 12 on the night of the election any votes that weren't received yet are no longer valid.
Just make sure everyone knows: If they want to mail something in they better get it sent a week ahead of time to be sure.
If the Democrats protest then ask them them to go ahead and keep the voting stations open until the last mail in vote comes in then.
