If they're at the point of surgery, then they've probably already subjected this poor kid to puberty blockers, meaning he'll likely never 'develop' properly, might be incapable of having kids, and even if they go through with the surgery, will have ... Little to work with, if you know what I mean.

Basically, they've already permanent damaged this kids life. No matter what happens at this point. Not even getting into the psychological damage.

I don’t think they’ve done that much harm at twelve. If he was 16 that would be a different story but twelve is just the beginnings of puberty so not much to block yet.
