This one really seems useless and pandering. His base is gonna say the same thing.... "meh" and the other side is gonna say pandering. What good does this really do? Also, free Assange.
Annnnd the crowd goes mild. I get the timing, it's the 100 year anniversary of the 19th amendment, but it seems silly to pardon a dead person. She was found guilty and charged a fine, which she didn't pay, it's not like she spent time in prison.
Assange won't be pardoned in an election year guys, if it happens at all, it will be 2nd term.
That ain’t true. Not being able to vote and not being able to look at someone the wrong way lest you get beaten to a bloody pulp are two different things. A whole lot of people couldn’t vote before the 20th century.
It's not a bad thing to do, it doesn't hurt and it probably should have been done. People are just disappointed because a pardon for Assange, Flynn or Snowden would have been much more impactful to anything relevant to today
Representatives of the Susan B Anthony List were there. If you don't know, the Susan B. Anthony List is an organization of pro-life women who are civic minded and dedicated to the actual health and safety of women and children. I think this was an excellent decision on the president's part to show his support for the continual struggle American women have in regards to pro-life healthcare, freedom from discrimination due to pregnancy and other issues. That you aren't aware of the group, just shows how biased our media has become. The SBAL should be a household name. I'll tell ya right now, Democrat establishment types and operatives definitely know about SBAL.
We have to do honorable things as well. Honor the forefathers, history and the past etc. I find it like one of those types of affairs. Thats why I like this move honestly.
If Obama made this move, he would be named Time person of the year and win a Nobel Peace prize (again, again, again).
He should do a massive pardon of all non-violent pot criminals And publicly call for decriminalizing marijuana. Talk about taking the wind out of the sails of the hypocritical left, and during their convention.
My hope is that this is a way for Trump to test the waters on who to pardon. By pardoning a dead person he risks nothing, but by announcing in advance that he would be pardoning someone, he gets people talking. When people are talking, he can listen and hopefully act on that information later.
Yeah, don't always get your hopes up for these types of announcements.

It forced me to look up why she was being pardoned and for what
“Anthony, who died in 1906, had been arrested in 1872 for violating laws that had permitted only men to vote.”
Those laws were just!
haha jk....
....unless?
It takes the wind right out of the sails of the Left's charge of sexism.
Well looking at where we are since women started to vote I'd say they were just laws.
They won't attack the laws here. They will only attack his pandering.
It's still a great move because good luck spinning this one Dems
The left will say it's transparent pandering, and will largely be correct.
The right will say "meh, should've been someone relevant like Flynn, Assange, or Snowden," and will also largely be correct.
This kinda just felt like a pointless cocktease.
theyll say hes sexist because he should have saved it for a woman prez. Guarantee it

Women should not have the right to vote or run for office. Thier brains ain't made for leadership, they are made nurturing. Stop denial of nature.
k
Lots of sexists in this thread.
I think it's a good move. Wemon were more opressed than black men at one point.
Lol not that I care, but steer the victimhood lenses this way. Throw a wrench in their games.

No offense but this entire reply sounds almost exactly what I would expect some leftist on reddit to say.
I think its a great thing to do to honor women and free and fair voting (as opposed to the voting scam the democrats are trying to pull)
But it accomplishes nothing, thereby making it a pandering action.
She's dead. There's nothing that this 'pardon' does for her, her lineage or her history.
Pardoning Assange, Snowden or even some random dumbfuck who got arrested on a non-violent pot charge would have been more productive.
Trolled the shit out of the left, that's for sure. So I wouldn't say it accomplished nothing. Ruining your enemies morale is paramount.

Trump should pardon some of the people locked up by Biden/Harris and advertise the fuck out of it.

It is, but have bigger fish to fry right now. This isn't going to help the vote. This isn't going to help dismantle the deep state.
Feel the way you want to feel, but don't become reddit by calling everyone with a dissenting opinion the enemy
Great username lol
Also... this is the kind of shit a politician does. WTF is happening to our guy? WE DONT WANT A FUCKING POLITICIAN!

I don't think he can. She was a state level prosecutor. Presidents can only pardon federal charges.
