Except for that the founding fathers had nothing to say on who should vote. The Constitution originally did not address the issue at all, and decisions about voting eligibility were all made at the state level — and it varied tremendously from state to state.

That argument holds no water when you consider that some states let black people vote during the slavery era. So are you saying Black people shouldn’t vote either just because they were widely thought of as property? 🥴

I feel like a terrible person for upvoting this. Maybe just allow property owners to vote regardless of race or gender. Too late to change things now
