I've been seeing a good number of posts lately dehumanizing groups. Communists in particular. We've been calling them out on their behavior for as long as I've been in the community, but we started dehumanizing them much more in the last fee's weeks and it's a dangerous path to go down.
The first step of radicalizing someone to commit acts of violence and terror is to get them to view the target as not human. You can see it in Islam where it refers to Jews and Christians as "the worst of creatures" they arent even human, they're lower than other animals. Once the group starts thinking that they're more open to violence towards the non-humans.
Another thing we need to realize is that all people are capable of great evil. If you're a Christian you believe everyone is a sinner and has a sin nature and is capable of great evil. You could also look at a book like "Ordinary Men" about the holocaust and how they managed to manipulate the ordinary people into committing genocide. Everyone is capable of being evil so we shouldn't veiw communists as non human. Just humans who gave in to their sin nature and need reformation or punishment depending on what they've done.
I've also been seeing people call for acts of violence which is just as bad. We need to take legal actions or actions of self defense. How is a call to punch a commie or kill one any better than the lefts call to punch a nazi which we here called out as extreme. We're becoming the sort of thing we call out.
You may say that you yourself are fine, but we have a large group of people here and some people may be radicalized if we start spreading that rhetoric too much people from our community could end up going out and committing unprovoked acts of violence or terror.
Call them out for their bad actions and talk about how awful the things they've done or do are, but don't dehumanize them. They're people too and we need to make sure we acknowledge that. We don't want to create extremist members in out group.

Yes, i'm not against fighting back or war. It's necessary and can be justified, but I am against calling people non human because that's how we start unnecessary and unjustified wars. Being evil is the most human thing, that's why we need Jesus. In Christianity it's important to remember where you came from in order to reach those still there.

Right now communism and islam are both terrible ideologies. Some terrible people lead both groups, but both groups are filled with many people who don't fully understand but think they do. I just had hope that we'd listen. We havent crossed any line yet and we're still a good way out from it, but we're taking a good step directly for it with this move. I'm just worried and dont want extremists formed here. You are right that the left deserves to hear it first, but i dont have a voice there unfortunately. Plus theyre already many steps beyond this one in becoming extremists and terrorists. I just wanted to try to address it here before it went too far.

Yep it has no place in america or the world for that matter. Same with pedophilia. The thing here though is as a Christian I hold a belief that everyone has a sin nature and as such everyone is capable of any great evil if their circumstances put them in such a situation. Genocide, communism, rape, homosexuality and yes even pedophilia. They're all sins and actions and choices taken by a person not a part of their identity as a human. Everyone can have a repentant heart and be saved from their sin nature by Christ regardless of the sin (that's why we need to remember they're human), but just because your spirit is revived doesn't mean you're absolved of earthly consequences. If you made those choices here you still face the penalty. (Death usually for the things i listed earlier). Humanity is evil, we might not have done those actions but given the situation we might have been just as bad. So yes keep resisting commies, fighting against them. Keep giving death penalty to pedophiles (or change the laws to do thag). But just remember they're humans and if they haven't taken the actions yet it's still possible to change them before it's too late.
Another example you could use is islam. Its a heinous religion created by an awful person that promotes terrible acts of violence, war and sexual impurity (including pedophilia). Most muslims don't even know this though. The leaders do and hide it from them. That's a terrible act and they should be held fully responsible. The common believer though doesn't know all of this and thinks their religion promotes kindness. Because the content exists there though they can be radicalized to follow true islam. Dehumanizing them is the difference between killing them now while theyre a professing muslim in ignorance or showing them the problem with their religion and getting them to convert out of it before they become too radicalized to move on. Either way though we still want to make sure islam is in check and keep it out of the mainstream or country because we know the truth and how dangerous it is, but we want to show them that too and get them out of it rather than killing them outright. True islam has no problem killing you outright though because they dehumanize you. Muslims are the best of people and christians and jews are the "worst of creatures " so it's alright to kill them because allah doesnt love them anyway. Dont become like them. Remember they're humans some dont know better yet.
