There was once a time where Republicans and Democrats wanted the same thing. The country to be great, the people to be happy, and the economy prosperous. The difference was how to get there, but that goal was the same. It's a sad state of affairs how far we have fallen, where today JFK would have been a moderate Republican to the left.
