I personally think that the officer needs to sue the city as well for wrongful termination and withholding evidence. He and the four other officers should become millionaires from this! They put down a 10 time criminal who once held a gun to a pregnant lady's stomach, they're basically heroes.

Especially the two officers who were rookies in their first week on the job, and didn't even do anything remotely improper. I expect and hope they will get massive settlements from the city when this is all over.

from the city? from taxpayers? nah. Settlement should come DIRECTLY out of the pockets of those responsible. Civil suit against the city, naming the specific people as the guilty party.
