Too fucking late, Amazon already used the USPS like a dirty slut. Now they have set up a lot of last mile delivery and don't need the USPS much. BTW fuck the bitchass GOP that let shit like this happen and continue to happen from the megacorps.
On top of whatever deal they made with the heads of the USPS, Amazon also bribed local congresscunts with distribution centers located in their districts.
The problem, as usual, is the corruption of our fucking elected "representatives".
Amazon is a cunt ... but it's hard to hate the player when we should really hate the game.
Yep. They're building a biggun near me. The state and local stooges championed the project for the jobs it'll bring (to be filled by the desperate, the drug-addled, or the deportable from across the river), even as Bezos bucks burst from the seams of their suits.
The other Amazon center here is regarded as Hell on Earth by anyone unfortunate enough to have worked there, and once the new battle station fulfillment center is fully-operational, the traffic it will bring will make the area a total clusterfuck.
The site where this abomination is going up evokes images of Isengard, what with the air traffic control tower looming over the desolation. However, Bezosville will probably be more akin to the Pits of Hathsin once it is finished. Regardless, this plays whenever I drive near it.
I have yet to hear of anything but horror stories from Amazon DCs. Not sure how it is now, but when one opened near me a few years ago, people were hired for three 12 hour shifts/week or four 10 hour shifts /week. All too often they were told, were behind schedule your 10 hour shift is now a 12 within a few hours of their scheduled end or just before leaving after a 12 hour shift around 8 PM, show up tomorrow at 6 AM for a mandatory 12 hour shift.
With the upcoming anti-trust legislation, it seems likely that Amazon's delivery service will be turned into a completely separate company that will have to support itself.

We should hate both.

It only got more common as turnover increased.
I really don't understand why companies do this. It's management 101 that this shit only damages productivity
amazon is coming to my small midwest town, that’s how I know its too late.
