Laws, and therefore crime, is indeed a construction and some laws are bad. But not all laws are limiting our freedoms. It would be foolish to see our right not to be murdered or robbed as limiting our freedom to murder or rob. While there are certainly gendered laws (most whom do not favor men), what racialized laws exist today? I cannot think of any (except affirmative action).
