I question if they were taught anything. They were certainly told and perhaps a few truly listened and learned but en masse they just saw him as a devil/nazi/hateful racist. They're just in so deep after being fed the lie their whole lives. It's so sad and he's so brave and they're so lost.

That is exactly what conservative college students are doing. They just nod, agree, and go along with it because they just want to fucking graduate.
Come out as conservative in college and your grades immediately slide. So they just chant along with the NPCs so they can get their piece of paper.
