I'd argue that these somewhat symbolic pardons continue to allow for the left to embarrass themselves in the public eye. Hard to praise a MLK pardon at the same time you're repealing civil rights laws in a place like CA.
Yeah he should pardon some more relevant people, but all of these "optics" do matter in terms of letting the American people get a full picture of the left.

The media circus would be non-stop. Why give them the ammo? And even if we would debunk and meme them like before, why waste that effort 75 days before the election?

I think they've given up on this strategy. It would backfire within a core Dem base. The last one was a test. The numbers aren't planning out.
