Goodyear is asshoe!

29
Alphahorizon 29 points ago +29 / -0

very much so. Good to see people speaking with their wallets.

25
Pede 25 points ago +25 / -0

The screenshot is not only legit, Goodyear put out a statement saying they support it.

Rucktoe 17 points ago +17 / -0

Some people did some things. Gone broke.

When you get big enough your business model is just lobbying instead of delivering a better product or service.

Iamnotademocrat1 20 points ago +20 / -0

Call their corporate office and tell them what you think of their Globalist perspective on supporting POTUS , law and order etc

Ha did you see that the State of Michigan Retirement System boosted its position in shares of Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company recently?

12
understanding2020 12 points ago +12 / -0

Guess who buys tires? Hint: it's not the liberals who just let the (republican) mechanic handle it.

12
LArnix 12 points ago +12 / -0

And now trump told us to boycott them so it should only get better!

etnguyen03 12 points ago +12 / -0

In all seriousness, don't use Robinhood. Consider switching to a proper brokerage - Schwab as an example.

FuckPlebbit 8 points ago +8 / -0

What, you don't want to infinite leverage bug yourself into $100k of debt?

GUH

Been using Robinhood for a month and I really like it so far - what benefit does a Schwab account offer?

4
etnguyen03 4 points ago +4 / -0

Some benefits:

Not to mention the fact that "blue lives matter" is considered political while "black lives matter" isnt.

socal_maga 11 points ago +11 / -0

It'll probably take time for the effects of their wokeness to really kick in. HOWEVER -- look at the 5yr chart. Lol, perfect timing for their support of BLM, their stock price is sitting right below the trend line which may act as resistance and facilitate the crashing and burning.

OutcastSeal 9 points ago +9 / -0

They're just in a straight multi-year downtrend. Time to start shoveling the dirt and burying them alive.

Time to re-tire

It honestly really annoys me, they should let stockholders know beforehand if they’re going to make stupid statements like this. Now I’m losing money, because some Karen thought it would be a good idea to push her political beliefs on the company.

1
ColbyP 1 point ago +1 / -0

Pretty sure that would violate insider trading laws though. Otherwise you'd dump all your shares on some guy that doesn't know what's coming and then it crashes out from under him instead.

1
Snoodlepoodle 1 point ago +1 / -0

Oh it totally would, and that’s true. But still it’s outrageous that what should be a responsible publicly traded company is willing to make such stupid and divisive statements knowing full well that many of their shareholders would disagree with their position. obviously I don’t advocate for insider trading, I’m just frustrated with the stupidity of a company that I have supported both as a stockholder and as a consumer for almost 2 decades.

Let's see if it finishes the day lower!

Was this before or after the president tweeted for people to boycott them hahahahaha

These companies need to hire regular people for their PR departments. They don't need to run the thing, but it would be good to have a normal person there to say "Yeah, that may play on Twitter, but its going to piss off the people who actually buy our products."

Goodyear is really funny, because I have never met a lefty who has ever given thought to their tires. Like NASCAR trying to court people who hate cars and gasoline.

Littlebabycakes 3 points ago +3 / -0

haha.. backfired so quickly. I love it. Fuck goodyear

2
Dumdum 2 points ago +2 / -0

Thank you. Just bought some short term options

2
CyclopticErotica 2 points ago +2 / -0

5 day low, but they had worse days this month. The day is still early though.

I guess it's not a Goodyear after all.

Every time this happens I tell myself "Next time a company goes publicly woke I need to immediately short sell with all my fucking might" and I always forget until the next day when their stock plummets.

low today 9.15, closed at 9.58 with 71K shares after hours so far. As of 1632 EST

Nice trend. Hope it continues.

1
darkliz 1 point ago +1 / -0

Soy boys don’t have cars to drive anyway. They hate oil/gas. All the pedes will take their business elsewhere.

1
orange_dit 1 point ago +1 / -0

I will only buy white tires from now on.

1
HumblePede 1 point ago +1 / -0

Good! Maybe they'll go broke and their stock holders will give them hell!

1
Tendiestomper 1 point ago +1 / -0

Crash that shit. We must destroy these companies that try to use social justice causes as a marketing ploy.

1
Skibumin 1 point ago +1 / -0

I'm betting it'll go down to $8

Even though you're supposed to buy low, still wouldn't even buy if it hits rock bottom.

Or maybe I will--companies do listen to their shareholders. For a few grand, I could tell them to their face how faggy they look.

I guess the HR dept. at Goodyear doesn't keep up with the NBA news.

Get woke go broke

1
DeusVultIntensifies 1 point ago +1 / -0

The impact will be long lasting. Some of us Pedes won't need tires until next year.My household will not be buying Goodyear tires next year.

1
Midwestknowsbest 1 point ago +1 / -0

Their stock has been trending downhill since 2018 ($35), I wonder if this will be the final nail in their coffin.

1
Salt-N-Pepe 1 point ago +1 / -0

They're treading water now
