In nature things tend to go to the lowest energy state possible.
After the civil rights movement won the lowest energy state was to be anti-racist like everyone else.
But the movement never quit and started to accuse anti-racist as racists and started to become racist themselves and promote racist polices. Like a self-fulfilling prophesy.
Right now a low energy state appears to be racism. White people get tired of having to defend themselves against accusations. And when they look at the data they see blacks as a group are not doing much better despite the opportunities they have now. It was never easier to be a racist.
Wise people know there are many factors at play. But I wouldn't be surprised if more white people become racists.
Racism by non-whites or white liberals is another story. Racism among them is much more common.
