That's a great point. In a normal election year, people would be enjoying their summer, vacationing, etc. Now they're stuck at home in burning cities with nothing to do. You bet they're paying more attention.
Not blaming just you, but not showing much interest in politics is why we are here. People get complacent because their lives are too busy to show interest in their communities. The ones who do show interest, are the vocal liberals. I'm glad you have finally seen the light, but this stuff runs deep. Many don't realize how bad the democrat party has always been. I'm registered republican, but I don't vote strictly republican. If conservative was an option, id be that.

It was before Obama’s first term, tho. A lot of the information about the Weather Underground, and ACORN caused me to question a lot of things and lead me to the Tea Party when they were first gathering.
After Obama’s second election, I gave up paying any attention to politics at all.... up until before the debates in 2016. I voted for Trump, but I only really boarded the Trump train, for real, in Feb-March of ‘17. Haven’t looked back since.

Disparities will never be closed if we keep telling children they are at a disadvantage because of the situation they were born into. I really think its going to do the opposite and its going to exacerbate inequalities by having kids put in less effort to better their situation. I reached my threshold in 2017 and am a regretful HRC voter.
The main way that white progressives/liberals are racist is because they assume minorities are too stupid/incompetent/lazy to help themselves and need the "help" of enlightened white people.
The modern Republican party embraces true liberalism (personal freedoms and personal responsibility) moreso than the modern democratic party, which wants everything (including how we lead our lives) to be run by some omnipotent super-state.. So it is entirely possible to be a liberal and a Trump supporter.
The problem is accepting thot culture. The problem is allowing whores. The problem is celebrating a person for nothing but their looks. You need to read the bible. Have higher standards, pervert.
