Blacks collect taxpayer-funded welfare, housing, and food assistance far above what you would expect for their 13% share of the population. In aggregate they take more tax dollars from state and federal agencies than they ever contribute. I think it is fair to talk about their cost to society. That is to say nothing of their affects on our culture, which I consider to be largely negative.
When I hear talk about reparations being needed to "close the wealth gap" I'm reminded how we "closed the achievement gap" in our schools: Common Core, inflated SAT scores, and diversity quotas. In essence it was easier to drag everyone else down than elevate a class of people who don't prioritize education for fear of "acting white".
And in the end it won't matter how much money we throw at the problem of inequity it's clear they value their status as victims above all else.
