if people get cancelled for bad jokes made a decade ago, I think a rape/murder should keep you out of the limelight forever

Even without cancel culture, I think someone like this should never be given a position of authority, or anything remotely close to it. There'd better be a lot of rehabilitation to merely let them out, and to live a humble, peaceful life.

We agree that everything about this situation is wrong.
