I never understood why they needed that window to be as large as it is. All it should show is a barcode that simply marks the ballot as "received" in the system. There should be NO identifiable markings anywhere on it.

I would think that this would be a fertile field to plant an EO which simply says no ballot returned by mail shall give any visible external evidence of party registration or affiliation. Period. (this problem is not isolated to Palm Beach Co.)
