Sick and tired of masks. Ordering my groceries online and working out at home. Spending most of my time outdoors fishing and enjoying nature. There are some cases where I need to wear one and it stops me from going (like minor league sports team...not wearing a mask outside LOL)
About ready to just stop altogether and see what happens. I see a lot of tough guy talk on here about it but I genuinely want to know what you folks are seeing out there when you opt out of the insanity. Anyone stopping you and harassing? Places to cut out and avoid?
Near a liberal cesspool (great city, but the based folks seem outnumbered these days) and don't see a lot of resistance. Already cancelled my gym membership because I was tired of getting lectured about wearing a mask to move six feet from the treadmill to the rower.

No statewide order here, but menards requires one. Had a plumbing repair on a Sunday last month, my local mom n pop hardware store was closed. Only time I wore it. Taking son to dentist Friday, guess I better find it. Our Safeway grocery store has a sign that says mask required. Probably less than 50% heed it, they don’t say anything. Our county has had five cases but only one physically resides here and it was suspected and he refused the test, recovered at home in a matter of days. Could have been a sinus infection. Total scam.
Menards is the worst. Only place Ive been hassled
I’m not 100% out of them. I have to wear it on occasion (got jewelry inspected, and I didn’t have an alternative I could use). I never wear them in grocery stores or out and about. I’ve been asked to a few times, and situation-dependent I may put on a mask or I may tell them to put a sock in it and they’ve lost my business. It’s not too bad, but I’m also not someone who minds conflict.

Yup! Signs everywhere. I smile and walk through doors as if they aren’t there. Some people challenge me, and when they do I’ll often temporarily comply then take it back off, or calmly leave the store and tell them that they’ve lost my business. Most don’t want the conflict. Maybe it helps that I’m relatively fit or that I’m intentionally very polite, but I get a few scowls and not a lot else.
Don't do it. What are you scared of? Getting kicked out, called out? They are fucking sheep, don't be a sheep. What are they truly going to fucking do. Fine you, rip it up, mob you? Stand your ground.
I agree. It’s gonna make things more difficult (wasting time arguing, driving to further stores that don’t give me shit, etc.)
What state are you in? No one giving you shit? The town mandates here and all the stores have the sign out front which may be why I literally see not a single soul without a mask
I'm in Iowa, no state mandate but store mandates with signs, Wally world, home depot, Lowe's, I walked into Walmart after 3 days with no power from the Derecho looking for ice, and I was ready to fucking fight anyone who tried to shit on me. Now I don't even avoid this corporate monsters. If I need something, I just go get it and give ugly looks back. I am not the problem, they are. Masks haven't done shit.

Haven’t seen anyone without one in the stores though (excluding some of the based hobby shops previously mentioned)
I also refuse to wear the muzzle and never will. I used to get harassed about it all the time now all I do is say very politely “I’m sorry I cannot wear the mask, I am except” and that’s it. nobody asks why some even apologize for asking me. Stop wearing the muzzle
