They took on the Obamas as “creative producers” or something to that effect a few years ago - essentially allowing the two to have say and sway in what’s presented and pushed through the service. Netflix has always been a little partisan, but shortly after the Obamas were given authority within the company, everything took a hard left turn. A lot of “social justice” centered shows made the scene, Netflix began embracing more shows that clearly were trying to argue a point (99% of the time it was “left = good”) and started sidelining shows that were structured around story and less on swaying, etc. It didn’t take long for me to cancel my membership. Now I just use Putlocker.

Man, when I was younger and more naive, I thought Obama wasn’t that bad and just kinda ineffectual (and a little stupid - he was “book smart” but couldn’t implement a proper policy decision to save his life). In hindsight and after looking at what he did more closely, the man was easily one of the biggest rats we’ve seen in recent American history and absolute scum. His authority in Netflix and exercising it as a tool to sway public opinion is just one instance of a seemingly endless list that demonstrates it.
