I can definitely say that’s false. They’re probably way more expensive now, but if you buy one and get enough gasoline in it, you can still have a generator
But if white ppl have generators and black ppl dont, then thats more evidence of systemic racism and unfair. It's time California stand up to these racists and demand generator equality.
Lol, the power company is a public utility. I will quantify all the reasons they are allowed to shut someone’s power:
They didn’t pay their bill
That’s literally it. Someone could be making IED’s out of crystal meth while saying they want to <glow in the dark stuff>, and if they pay their bill on time the utility company legally has to keep the lights on
I used to do generator installs for people. It's expensive if you do it right (propane tank with buried feed lines, etc), but the last electrician I worked with came up with a genius cheaper solution.
We had a rich customer on the lake that was cheap as hell and he went out and bought some Lowe's/Home Depot portable Generac. We rigged his main distribution panel in the house up with a manual transfer switch, and a device our Master called "an electrical no-no". It was basically a male-to-male 110v extension cord. This was an aberration that had no other use in this world, and was dangerous if used for any other reason.
However this setup would allow the home owner to manually flip the transfer switch, cutting off the power grid, then use the cord to plug the 110v receptacles on his portable generator into a special 110v plug we setup on the xfer as an input. It was locked to one phase and 110v only, so he couldn't run 220 devices, but it was enough to power all the lights in his house and a some computers/etc.
tl;dr: I should go to California with this idea. Wait no, it's California.
Theres technically nothing wrong with that, but it's dangerous because your average home owner is going to forget to trip the manual transfer and possibly get a lineman killed. Or less worse, cook his generator when the utility comes online and the generator snaps into phase instantly.
Make sense. My observations have been that the 20-30 female demo are the one who are absolute scared to death the will die if someone 50 feet away in a parking lot isn't wearing a mask or what not.
And like that generator parties are formed
lol pretty sure generators are already illegal in commiefornia because of rolling blackouts

Yes, deny them a basic human right like water for conjugating. Sounds reasonable.
As long as it a peaceful assemble they cannot do this. The first amendment is something CA should look up.

This is just beyond insanity. How the fuck is anyone ok with this? Oh right, it's not being done to you. Yet.
