I couldn’t sleep and saw all the posts on here about Cuties. Looked into it and cancelled my subscription to Netflix with the reason noted “Cuties is pedophilia”.
They’re trying to soften it by saying it’s to shock people into realizing the sexualization of young girls, but they’re accomplishing this by sexualizing young girls. The cover picture they use was enough to make me cancel.

I have an adult child who loved her dance classes, and went to a dance school that was always going to state wide competitions. It might not have been twerking, but a lot of the young girls’ dances were highly sexualized. A lot.
I personally found it uncomfortable to watch and was always glad she had different classes, but some of these dances were choreographed by teachers at her school. They saw nothing wrong with it. The dances won awards. That was all that mattered to the teachers and the girls’ moms.
I took her out of that school when she was 11. She cried at first, because the new teacher never went to competitions, but one day she realized that her new teacher had actually been a ballerina with a known dance company! All was forgiven, and boy was I glad. Nice, traditional ballet.
At the end of the day though, nobody explained to her little girl that the behavior was wrong. All she knows is that its acceptable and lots of other girls and people she looks up to do it. It's really sad this stuff is being pushed so hard. They know what they are doing and its absolutely being normalized.
Any company that cant give a simple hard no to that loses my business. Thats ridiculous
