It's more of what they're not doing.

Watching tv, watching sports, buying at store etc.

We can all be more independent and self sustaining that is a good thing. But it takes time and resources. Many of us aren't there with one or the other. It is a privilege to be independent most of us are dependent and that leads us to be captive to our life routines.

I watch tv shows, I see the propaganda but I still enjoy it. It's a time waster but that's exactly what I use it for. I understand I am above programming and sometimes seeing their blatant attempt to mold me annoys me.

You are being programmed by that crap in more subtle ways than the obvious "great another tranny in a TV show for no reason" garbage. On this very site all(not all but the vast majority) are applauding and upvoting when Trump waves a faggot rainbow flag and again that is the obvious crap. I strongly suggest avoiding EVERYTHING that comes out of the TV/Movie/Music industries like the mind plague that that garbage truly is/has been for dang near ever. Sadly I also have work to do on this front.

I watch Lawrence Welk reruns on PBS on Saturdays; I'm so ashamed.

You see my opinions aren't based on what i hear but from what i see and know. None of my opinions are so superficial that I refuse to look deeper into them afraid of what I may find. I understand their goal with the propaganda and I can tell to who or what they pander when they deliver media content in the form they have been choosing to.

I obviously avoid the blatant programming shows but unfortunately this nonsense is seeping on other content. That is the content I enjoy but now is starting to get a tranny character here or there, the main villain always being blond with blue eyes, heroes becoming darker, man being portrayed as buffoons and women as the cold rational hero, etc. It annoys me but it's not a thematic change and a lot of these tropes have been going on for decades now if it becomes a thematic change where it becomes a central plot then I'll quit the show but if they do one of these things sure it annoys me but I've learned to take it in stride.

Now obviously if I had kids I would be much more selective since they are much more susceptible to this modern garbage programming. Until then I'm capable to discern to what degree I can tolerate this new age non sense they're pushing into us.I also get the benefit that in the process I'll gain insight into what the average libtard thinks is normal or should be normal for society so i can further deconstruct their fantasies when they try to engage me in a political conversation.

You should get to know more about how the brain and propaganda works and how scary effective it is, which is regardless of how intelligent one is and aware of it one believes themselves to be, as it will not likely turn any stable person into a reeeeeee'ing leftist but it 100% will effect everybody to a meaningful degree. Outside of that point of emphasis I totally agree with/understand what you are saying.

Yeah I've read plenty on it and I understand how it works as in a drop will crater a boulder over the years.

Again we live in a world where it's virtually impossible to not experience any form of propaganda without becoming a hermit. Being aware is all we can be it is a established part of modern society, it predates most of us and it'll continue after we die.

You're wasting your time and you know it. Don't try putting lipstick on the pig. Save your money and use it to support good causes, whether it's gun courses or homeschoolers or local races. "What they think" is irrelevant because they don't think, they feelz. If they thought they wouldn't be libtards. You're just excusing couch tv, Miller lite.

That's what I said it was a time waster. No lying to myself there. Another thing is I've had my liberal and conservative phases now if anything I view myself as an independent leaning conservative. The left has gone way too far but I don't agree with all Republicans on everything then again with liberals it's gotten to the point I disagree with them on everything.

If your concern is me being eventually brainwashed that is no issue. I know how to critically think and draw my own conclusions. I don't listen to the tv and nod my head nor do I have only one source for news. When some piece of news comes out I have questions and I seek to answer them like who/what/why and I've gotten used to notice when those questions aren't answered by the article it usually means they're concealing info to push a narrative.

Being programmed or brainwashed happens to people who have too much trust and are too stupid to question what they see or read. Not saying I don't sometimes fall on those narrative traps but I'm open minded enough to seek to always get a better understanding on issues.

For example when a friend first showed a video of george floyd, i told him there's a reason why the cop has him pinned to the ground. Took a few weeks for the truth to come out but at every turn i knew the story was half told.

I haven’t watched TV movies or sports in over six years. It’s actually really easy after the first month you won’t even want to go back to it. Like anything else, make an easier goal rather than tell yourself forever. Commit to just giving it up for a week and see how that feels. Then extend it another 3 weeks to see what a mo th fees like. After that you won’t want to go back.

Man I am just doing what I can to not go crazy as society deals with the covid bs and unfortunately I have plenty of time to kill as things stand in this moment. But to answer your question literally we are at weak mean creating hard times.

The covid and how many desire us to respond to it should be a vivid example of that.

I'm well aware of this, honestly as times goes on I really don't think a pure democracy is a good way to maintain a nation since too many factors and variables exist to pervert people's mind. Thankfully the forefathers had the foresight to make the U.. a democratic republic but as you've said the balance in which this system thrived is tilting as is the case in many western countries.
