Israel is the eyes and ears for us in the Middle East. I'm fairly confident to say they've been pretty important for our empire-building there, as well as the Saudis. We wouldn't be giving them $4 billion a year for nothing or because "the Jews". Our military industrial complex, oil industry, and geopolitical ambitions dwarf Israel.
