Battle of Britain was also a major strategic success (for the Allied Forces) that should have been a major victory for Germany ending with their occupation of the UK. They didn't retreat or stop bombing out of some kind of sympathy or anything, they retreated because they thought they didn't have enough airpower to continue. What they didn't realize, was that Britain was down to their last few planes, and all the planes rolled out onto the runways were dummy planes -- completely inoperable -- in the hopes that it would trick the Nazis into thinking the Brits had far more than they did. It worked. Had the German's continued, they were mere inches away from taking Britain, and it would have effectively ended the war, at least on that front

As for North Africa -- Mussolini totally fucked up everything for Hitler over there. His invasion basically forced Hitler to divert forces there to bail him out, at a very strategic time, no less.

And for Russia? Well... Hitler should have studied his history a bit more before invading there... but even still, he could have easily won there, too, but even Hitler's strategic genius got overclouded by his desires when he split his troops into two. He'd have taken Stalingrad, and eventually all of Russia, if not for that
