I have to say, I am persuaded toward "libertarian" and "classical liberal" ideals, but when someone brings up child abuse in any form I want to start throwing people out of helicopters.
I used to be. Not anymore. An amoral society is absolutely doomed. And it all started with the demonization and removal of Christianity from public.
Libertarianism is unironically pretty nice system when you don't have to worry about foreign subversives abusing the freedom of speech we have, but unfortunately we do have to worry about that and lolbertarians simply can't effectively address corporate political corruption
Christianity is not essential to morality. You can be a good person without believing that the telepathic acceptance/adulation of a Jewish zombie is your only path toward salvation.
This is such bullshit. Explain why it was christians in the 20th century that were the only ones who saw through the evils of communism, while all of the super smart secular academics made excuses for it?

Without god, you have no morality. It all becomes an appeal to ego and individual fear. Everyone is afraid to speak up, because truth isnt actually an academic subject. Its a war and it takes courage to go into battle for the sake of truth. Courage only God can give. Thats why atheists are pussies. It's funny that atheists harp about not needing God for morality, then one sentence later they're being insufferable assholes. It's like they don't even see what a self-contradiction they are.
I'm pretty convinced you have to believe in something. Even if it's just something like Mother Nature (with her evolution and earthquakes and shit - realizing how there are forces out of our control) and the power that other principles and events have on us that we can do nothing about. Religion is a widely accepted and practised way of holding yourself to a higher standard and to humility. But there are many ways to do that. The problem is a leftists tend to take this attitude towards politics which does not work. Or they are only interested in their version of morality - in other words they become selfish and arrogant.
Conservatism literally has no ground to stand on without Christianity aka objective morality. Reminder that relativists are literally worthless and can be convinced of anything.
