It’s so abused by the left because they are obsessed with making fantasy a reality with no capacity for calculating real outcomes and repercussions.
On the real, if you know an older adult who seems like they are losing it a little bit, try and get them tested. My 95 year old grandma has dementia and she checks every box on that foldout. It's gotten so bad that when she misplaces something she will blame me and say I took it out of "revenge."
The sooner you catch it the better you can manage it.

I lost my DAD two years before he died. But it wasn't Alzheimer's, but what I think is diebetis related dementia since both had it and I have it.
The scary thing is that I'm getting close to their age when it first started. Of course, they stopped treating it with some of the drugs they took which caused kidney damage, which itself can cause dementia like syptoms.

There are lots of types of dementia, and I think Joe has Alzheimer's. The earliest feature is difficulty with memory and word finding which are clearly evident in Joe.
I'd say it's a result of having had 3 bleeding brain aneurysms all of which he's had brain surgery to fix. Funny nobody in the media bothers to bring that up at all. The last one, iirc, his surgeon told him he'd have a 35% chance of regaining full mental function. It appears those odds did not work out in his favor. Also odd that for all the shit Trump gets about his hair, which he's allowed talk show hosts to mess up with their own hands and confirm it's all real, that nobody asks Joe how the fuck he was bald in the 1970's but somehow now has a head full of hair plugs.
Ruptured anurysm is serious. He probably did suffer some deficit from them and has less reserve brain function to withstand new insults. Hence the drastic decline from a couple of years ago. One risk factor for aneurysm formation is hypertension which he possibly has had for decades.
