Unless things have changed, most firehoses aren't fire resistant. They're designed to be resistant to abrasion, pressure, and rotting.

You'd think it would be helpful for hoses that put out fires to be at least somewhat resistant to heat and flame. But I know nothing about fire fighting so...

It’s good you did that because some ‘patriotic when it suits my goals’ leftie would be sure to point out a code violation.. like they do all the time with flag colored socks or underwear.
