Sorry everyone. My state sucks and my government is Stalin-esque. Someday my wife and I too hope to get out, but employment contract and elderly/ill parents are largely preventing that at the moment. But seeing as we're both staunch libertarians (her moreso than me, since National Security is the spot where I diverge from most libertarians), I don't think we'll be half as unwelcome as the communists fleeing the city are.
Another reason they are pushing so hard for mail in voting. NYC is empty right now and I'm sure a lot of cities are like that. Everyone left town for their summer homes and don't have a plan to return. My sister is an NYC lib and she doesn't think she's going back till NEXT YEAR! Dems have backed themselves into a corner. Forced everyone to leave the city and they need a plan to still get those votes. I am sure there will be a high number of people not willing to drive back to NY just to vote or go through the absentee process.
