I think its really interesting that the Freedom of Information law is being used to collect the names of teachers that are going to be using that book in their curriculum. I just wanted to share this with ya'll.
Odd way of getting info. Thought brave teachers would be happy to announce their reading programs
Lists are good for some things...
...and don't you dare listen in on Zoom classes.
How about teaching math, science, english.
Everything the school does, and all of the emails and records they have (outside of records covered by FERPA are open to an OPRA (open public records act) request.
We should all be filing such requests.
A choice you make and that is fine. The fact is, most people send their kids to public school. Those parents ought to know what their children are being taught. Moreover, they should wield the power they have in shaping the curriculum. Those schools answer to the school board, and members of the public school board are ELECTED. So those with kids in public school should vote, and they shouldn't be afraid to make an appearance at school board meetings. Don't just lie down and let them fill kids with propaganda.
Higj school english departments, at least from what I've seen in California, are cancer. They get it from their college indoctrination, so I doubt it is only California.
