Not necessarily though. People are pretty fed up up here with Trudeau right now. He's on his 3rd ethics violation, and there is a lot more energy behind removing him. There's at least the whispers of a conservative wave beginning up here. Of course, not a true conservative wave, but maybe enough to snap out of it and rekindle our relationship with the US.
The main problem is China up here. I don't think people realize how utterly controlled by China we are. But there are actually a bunch of based Youtube channels popping up, lots of Trudeau hate, and finally a huge pushback to the liberals. I am cautiously optimistic for things up here.
I also see things a little bit differently. I think if Trump started heavily pressuring Canada, especially in terms of things like Chinese association, people around here would turn against the globalist China lovers and start wanting to negotiate with the US and become better allies again. If Trump started saying things like, he was going to sanction Canada, or put tariffs on them or whatever unless they ejected Huawei and stopped letting China have their hands in our 5g rollout, I think most Canadians would agree with him.
That's my hope anyway. I hope Trump capitalizes on Trudeau's unpopularity due to his corruption and scandals, and puts pressure on us. Trudeau even endorsed the democrats, so it would make sense for Trump to just join in on condemning him. He could feed some energy in to changing things up here, and I really think they could change. Most people here aren't truly lefties, they're blissfully unaware morons who like the idea of being the good guy. When shit hits the fan, and they can no longer ignore, I think there's a good chance they come around.
