I'd also like to think I could use this as a teaching opportunity for my kid. Unlike the left, my response to being wronged (on a small scale like this one anyway) is not to immediately reeeeeeeeee-act and resort to violence.
Then, my absolute number one priority would be the safety of my kid. Who knows what kind of other loonies are milling around the convention just itching to escalate a situation into fiery violence. Is it worth getting my kid into a situation where he might get hurt, or worse, because I immediately stooped to the level of these idiots?
