The only Power they could be resting in is the Power of God.
The secular/atheist last unfounded hope for life after death is the Infinite Matrix realization: Assume technology advances for 50 or so years, at least. Statistically speaking, it is highly implausible we actually exist at that point, we're most likely a computer program, or if you want to be really hubristic, a gamer running a sim of this time era while our real memories are suppressed. In either which case, we're merely inactive until our run function goes again.
Resting in power is religious. There is no peace for the dead, for their corpses are given power as a fetish for rituals to disrupt society... That sounds more culty than atheisty to me.
I do not understand that phrase. What power do you have after you're dead? At best, you can only rest in God's arms. The power is entirely His.
Sounds like the secular/atheist last unfounded hope for what happens after death. They are scared shitless of the afterlife, and they should be.
The power to vote.
Sadly true.
KJV 2 Corinthians 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
I suspect they are trying to encourage suicidal martyrs.
