In 2016 I voted libertarian. I liked Trump but wasn’t 100% sold and didn’t have confidence in the establishment Republicans. Looking at the vote totals most states had Gary Johnson at 3%. In MN, for example, it was 3.8%.

Trump has been the most libertarian president we’ve had. That being said, I’m assuming most libertarians would switch to Trump for 2020, I certainly am. If that’s the case he’d pick up a few extra states while holding onto the ones he flipped. That mixed with the massive amount of people walking away from the dems we may be looking at a landslide victory.

I haven’t heard any commentators, or anybody, speak to this point. Is it just me? What do you all think?

There are a couple things that autist libertarians do not like about the Trump presidency:

  • continuation of the war in yemen
  • high govt spending

However, given no new wars and deregulation, a lot of "small L" libertarians are happy.

Agreed. The pressure is insane. Honestly I am/was a libertarian, but between Nick Sarwalk and Jo's anti racist stuff, the party is lost. And frankly 2020 has shown me that people are way too stupid to understand the benefits of a libertarian society. Also, plug for Dave Smith's podcast: Part of the Problem.

Youre right on people not understanding. They cant even maintain focus to learn who Stalin or Hitler is. How can we possibly get them to understanding economics and banking?

the only time I've ever seen the media talk somewhat positively about Trump was when he was tossing bombs in Syria

My hope is that when Trump is re-elected he goes full HAM on the federal budget. The deficit spending under Obama (and Bush to be honest) was my red pill
