I have 2-3 months worth of patches, my problem is I put one on and keep smoking.. lol increasing my nicotine dependency and doing nothing to actually cut down..

I need someone to slap a smoke out of my hand, and then tolerate me being angry at them for my own good.

Honestly though; knowing what we know, can anyone blame one for smoking? I mean.. Liberals too - if everything you knew/had going for you was crumbling around you, wouldn't you be stressed out too? (if not sobbing hysterically)..

pedophiles intensifying is one reason to smoke

I need someone to slap a smoke out of my hand

My mom is on permanent oxygen for the rest of her life, which won't be long, because of her bad lungs. She hasn't left her house since March because, unlike most people, getting Coronavirus would be a death sentence. When I visited her recently, I couldn't even touch her, and we had a glass door between us the entire time. I couldn't hug my mom.

*Does that help?

Yeah of course it helps.

The problem isn't that smokers are too stupid to understand the negative health effects...

I also witnessed a grandmother dying for years of emphysema, on oxygen, yelling for people to stop blocking the draft from the window to her. She went into a coma and died, as most do at the end. My grandpa didn't survive much longer after she passed away.. as old men typically do..

I come from a long line of smokers, and it wasn't so long ago when it was totally normal to sit on the couch beside your dad who was smoking, or ride in the car to school with him smoking and windows up. The 80s and 90s were peak awesome, but with it came certain harms for sure. Is it any wonder I started smoking at 11, (quit when I got caught and punished) and picked it back up at 20?

Well, it is a cessation aid. The first week of patches should make you smoke less.

I find keeping your hands and mind occupied (in that order) is what is helpful. I was very close last month with patch + gum, but like you said, stressful stuff going on (not related to politics but also politics) in my life make it more difficult at times.

But not just the oral fixation but people get bad enough I do believe they literally need something to do with their hands. Video games, musical instruments, MAGA knitting, drawing, anything to keep the hands busy. Along with something like gum to take care of the oral fixation.

You (we) can do it!

Can't make America great if we aren't great... as I pop another Jolly Rancher into my mouth.
