Honestly, Trump would be smart to meet with her and see if she would be open to an immediate cabinet appointment - and then give her the boot next year if she even looks at him cross eyed.

Tons of Bernie/Yang/Gabbard democrats are really alienated right now, and are very pissed at how Gabbard's been treated. He could peel away at least a couple percent from Biden's total votes if he reached out to her and made (temporary) peace.

I'm sure there are some cabinet members who are eyeing stepping down in January no matter who wins, and she's sort of washed up at this point - leaving congress, no juice with the DNC, media despises her so no easy gigs/book deals and she can forget about lobbying, too.

It's also been pretty common for Democrats to have one Repub. cabinet member, and vice versa, because independent voters seem to like it.
