I remember bringing a .38 I found in a brown bag on the street into the police station, 1 block away when I was 9. on the way to school. Lady behind glass, (Officer,) asked why I brought it in, told her I didn't want to leave it on the street, somebody could get hurt with it...A lot of idiots out there. She laughed, had me put it in the drop box, I walked an extra 1.5 miles to school that day. missed the bus.
