This is 100% true. Risk of losing continues all the way through ballot counting in swing precincts in the swing states. And also important to remember that the counting might stretch in for days, in states with mass mail in voting. Lots of opportunity for last minute “oh, here’s another box of ballots.”
I suspect that without an OVERWHELMING win, they will continue producing "lost boxes" of votes for weeks, and legal challenges like the Bush vs. Gore Supreme court challenge.
