If you'll look at the comic again, getting the next generation is the least of our issues. And marriage has less than ever to do with it. And yes, I'm a libertarian on many stances. I don't actually care what's in the government's best interest, I care what's in the people's best interest. Government doesn't need this power, it just wants it for its own sake. And so it shouldn't have it. When homes with fathers are promoted, you'll get your next generation in a better way, and they'll be better for it.

Or you can start taking powers away from the government and keeping them for yourself so that government becomes smaller, and then you can be responsible for your own morality instead of having the government dictate yours wrongly.

"Government has an interest in promoting morality." -- Hitler. (And SJWs)

The reason we don't grant the government morality powers is because it won't always be your morality in power.

People have an interest in dictating their morality to the government. From thence comes freedom. Government has an interest in dictating morality to its people. From thence comes Hitler. It wasn't a stretch of rhetoric. It was Hitler's platform that the government was a moral agent onto its own right and should be overruling the weakminded people as to their morality for its own sake of the greater good.

Now if your morality is the one true perfect morality, then maybe we should be embodying it into law. But the people who are brazen enough to claim theirs is the one true perfect morality are generally not the kind of people who actually have it, and enacting theirs tends to go poorly.

The government is not a moral agent, and is must not be. The people are moral agents, and they should be in charge of dictating terms to the government.

I disagree. I actually think it's impossible to have a big government that's for the people.
