The simple fact that they aspire to be Gods and deny the full divinity of Jesus means that they are, not, Christians.

If they would just be honest that they're not a form of Christianity they wouldn't get so much pushback from Christians. Even Muslims don't pretend to be Christians just because Jesus (or some concept of Him) is a part of their religion.
