Oddly this gives me hope. These Democrat mayors and governors are not acting like everything is going according to plan. They are panicking and making some of the most tone-deaf moves that will turn people against them. Their backyards are burning down meanwhile they've failed to make a dent in Republican strongholds.
That's right. Lightfoot has been backed into a corner. She has to protect herself and her home with cops but at the same time she can't shut down the rioting. All she can do is be openly hypocritical and hope the media covers for her (they will.) I absolutely love that the rioters are on her doorstep.
If the protesters actually stood for anything, every protest from this point on would be at her house. But they don't. They are her her foot soldiers, and just got a little out of hand. Japanese leadership suffered from this in WWII.
