Can someone explain to me like I am a 5 year old, why all of the issues have to be resolved simultaneously? Pelosi states that she is worried that GOP will poison pill in the Senate or they won't address other issues. Why can't a bill be passed just handling unemployment as a stand alone? Why can't each issue be a stand alone bill instead of a massive mess of different things? Because they would have to work harder and actually spend a majority of their time in DC just like their predecessors did in the 80's and years prior? Or will it remove a way for each side to sneak in something that they want, but know they won't get as a stand alone?
