I'm curious others thoughts on this because maybe I'm looking at it wrong. I just don't know how much I like the concept of taking your kid out to stir up trouble outside the DNC convention. It's a situation that you know you're putting yourself and your kid in a high risk situation.
It's one thing to take your family to a positive environment like a MAGA rally but this is totally different to me. I just think the better approach is to let them be kids and stay out of politics. I'd rather teach them American values, knowledge of our rights and why they are important, and the ability to see through the media influence to pick the right candidate when they are eventually an adult.
I'm not sure if simply standing there and asking them if they're going to steal/destroy property is the right call. You know these psychopaths are going to destroy your property, you know they're going to rob you, you know they're going to assault you. I'd like to say you should meet their violence with a fist to the face, each and every time they pull this crap. If and when the police arrive, press charges against them for attempting to rob and assault you.
I know the media's going to smear you if you do, but we really aren't sending the right message to kids to keel over in the face of violent bullies.
