My mother is 86, has dementia and lives in a Memory Care Facility in Orange County, CA. She tested positive for Covid but is ASYMPTOMATIC. She was taken to a local emergency room and then transferred to a skilled nursing facility the next day. That was about a week ago. Still no symptoms. She should be back in the Memory Care Unit sometime next week. The skilled nursing facility asked if we wanted them to register her to vote. We said no. But why would they register her to vote at a temporary residence? We can't visit her and she won't be there much longer. Who would be marking her ballot? Was she counted once or 3 times as a Covid case? Once or twice as a hospitalization? How many of these facilities got government funds for her positive test? Stinks to high heaven if you ask me.
