Their violence is escalating so they can feel confident getting closer to actually killing people. It's a process. I am surprised that a police officer didn't have some kind of camera for protection of his property being from that area.
Here's what I do. I do NOT use current wireless cams because they are obvious and can be jammed. I use old fashion VHS recorders hidden in the bushes, covered with green plastic to hide it. I have a green cord that wraps around to the side of the house and up to a window. Inside, the cable is attached to a VCR and the VCR is attached to an old TV. Not a digital, but the heavy old ones. This way, I can see and hear and record what is going outside. If found out and someone demands the video, I keep a bogus VCR with a blank tape near the front door. I'd just hand them that one.
Oh, and I have a tiny little sign that says "Property protected by video and audio surveillance".
