I have read in comments (yes, anonymous) that Go-Fund-Me changed the rules on them, and they had to go through a nonprofit entity in order to get the $ already collected released, and
that at least one person got notice and an opportunity to get a refund.
I cannot verify either claim, but the claims should be readily verifiable through public records.

Read the indictment & as it reads seems clear he did something wrong. But that's how an indictment typically reads..
