So I hold a BS in Biology with an emphasis in genetic engineering, but never did anything with the degree as I started and run a tool manufacturing business. Also I have been out of school for 20 years so I am sure the "state of the art" has advanced far beyond my late 90's early 2000's knowledge....however science is science.
The question I have is that over the past 4 years California has allowed the state to burn millions of acres of land with little to nothing being done by the politicians. California leads the world in "air quality" legislature touching on everything from Automotive regulations to when you can BBQ and or burn in your home fire place. I wonder what the 4 years of fires has done with regards to CO2 release Vs. the past 40 years of regulation. I have a gut feeling that the amount of smoke/CO2 and other "green house gasses" from the past 4 years of fires more than negates any and all of the emissions reduction the state has feverishly fought for.
Anyone want to help test this hypothesis?
