As I understand it, the black dialect is language that was created and used by native stevedores, the colonial version of longshoremen, dating to the 14th century. Its purpose was to enable the workers, as they were loading and unloading the boats, to communicate amongst each other in such a way that the colonists and bosses didn't know what they were saying. Any suggestion to make this an accepted language in modern society is sorely misguided.
I'm sure the millions of people in other countries that are proud they have learned English as their 2nd language will be happy to hear this news. (And I'm sure they will not learn ebonics)
They attack each other for "sounding white" if any of them dare to speak proper English. Just another way that the black community does more harm to the black community than any honky ever could.
