It needs to be done for a variety of reasons, yeah. Economically, realistically, healthwise and from the public safety aspect it needs doing, sure.
It would not cause any leftists to switch to POTUS tho, or few of them I would wager. Hell the 'medical' growers and others making a killing on it today would sue and spit and rend their clothes and throw tendies.
It needs to be legalized tho, the way it is criminalized is a fraud- what, schedule 1 drug equivalent to heroin? Yet alcohol, which is a far greater danger, is legal?
Make it legal and you ease some stress on muh borders, cops don't have to mess with it as much, courts don't, cartels lose monies, people here consuming can grow their own and save money, and Unca Sam can tax the commercial side of it.
Win/win/win. Plus our kids don't have to hunt dealers or mess with underground shiite, or us old fogies either I guess.
