I wish I wasn’t. I wish we could live wherever and feel safe because the people responsible for enforcing the laws were allowed to do their jobs with the support of elected officials. Sadly that’s not an option for some of us.
Until we remove the cancer nothing is going to be normal and places like Seattle, Portland, NYC are looking terminal.
Yeah I've been dying to gtfoh for years now, I've hated NYC for a long time now (born and raised). The experience of growing up here in the 90s was cool and all and it will always hold a special place in my heart, but its nothing like it used to be and hasn't for a while now.
I'm thinking either North Carolina, Florida, Texas, Arizona, or Georgia... pretty much anywhere thats not here.
All of those choices are better than where you are now. Once home doesn’t feel like home anymore there’s not much reason to stay any longer than you have to. Maybe some day NYC will come back but between the mayor and the governor they’re doing enough damage to ruin it forever.
